Leslie Knighton: Credentials

Recent personal experience with professional and familial executors have identified two significant issues.
- The first is the information gap between the various resources available to individuals who are getting their affairs in order.
- The second is a clear understanding of the skills and time required by an executor to fulfill their role.
As a corporate controller I implemented and managed many systems for financial information. Management of people and resources resulted in the optimization of time and information for the financial decisions that were required.
A CEO I worked for said, “If you have 10 minutes, spend them on your own personal finances as a priority over other anything else.”
Personal finances deserve more time and attention than many other situations where we decide to spend your time. Work and family will always have the highest priority. However a concentrated application of time to our own financial health along with on-going reflection and maintenance of your situation will yield many benefits.
